Ingredients needed

  • Frozen Hot Pockets

In the freezer department of your preferred grocery shop, you can discover frozen hot pockets.

We will provide the recipe for homemade air fryer hot pockets later in the post if you decide to make them. Although the cooking process for air frying is slightly different, both dishes are wonderful!

In the recipe card that appears below the post, we will provide two hot pizza pocket recipes.

Tips for success

Hot air flow can circulate throughout the air fryer and uniformly cook the hot pockets if the hot pockets are kept in a single layer with space between them.

Serve hot pockets that have been prepared with your preferred dipping sauces, such as cheese sauce or left-over pizza sauce.

NEVER use parchment paper or foil to preheat the air fryer because the circulating air could pull it up into the heating element. After preheating the air fryer and right before putting the meal, always place the parchment paper or foil in the basket.

For 4-5 minutes, preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees Fahrenheit. Use parchment paper, nonstick spray, or olive oil to prepare the air fryer basket.

Place the frozen hot pockets in the basket in a single layer after removing them from the crisper sleeve.

Hot Pocket should be air-fried for 11–13 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.

Serve the hot pockets on their own or with your favorite dipping sauce after carefully removing them from the air fryer.

Note: A Cosori air fryer was used to prepare these air-fried pizza pockets. Cooking using air fryers varies. Your brand of air fryer may require you to change the cooking time. You might need to alter the cooking temperature and duration to your individual brand if your air fryer has a lesser wattage.

I love this easy hot pocket air fryer recipe, but if you want to make your own, all you need are a few basic ingredients.

How do you make an air fryer homemade hot pocket?

There are only a few basic ingredients required to make homemade air fryer hot pockets.

A can of pizza dough, homemade pizza dough, puff pastry, mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce, thin pepperoni slices, and an egg wash created from an egg and water mixture to help seal the pockets are all required.

To prepare the egg wash, combine the egg and water.

To cut the dough for the pockets, use a big cookie cutter. Pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni are added to the dough, which is then covered with still another sheet of dough.

To seal the heated pocket’s borders, use the fork tip. Egg wash should be applied to the hot pocket’s tops.

Put the hot pockets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Pizza pockets should be cooked in the air fryer for 6 to 8 minutes at 350 degrees F, or until golden brown with a light crispy crust. Halfway through cooking, carefully flip the homemade hot pockets.

What flavor hot pockets do these directions work for?

Even the pretzel crust flavors may be prepared using these air fryer instructions.

This contains ham and cheese, bacon cheddar cheese, pepperoni and sausage, five cheese pizza, and more.

How can I lower the cook time for a pizza pocket in the air fryer?

When it comes to a quick lunch, 13 minutes might be too long, so I developed a hybrid technique that will give you a crispy Hot Pocket in less time.

This will still produce a crispier crust than the traditional microwave approach, even if it won’t be as crispy as merely air frying.

As your air fryer heats to 400 degrees, microwave the Hot Pocket for 1 minute within the crisper sleeve.

It should be carefully taken out of the crisper sleeve and placed into the air fryer after being removed from the microwave.

Cook for 3 to 4 minutes inside the air fryer.

If you have an air fryer and a microwave handy, you may use this to obtain the extra crispy crust faster.

Give the Hot Pocket at least five minutes to cool. Enjoy it after putting it back inside the crisper sleeve. Be cautious when taking your initial taste because the Hot Pocket can still be hot.
