Air Fryer Shake and Bake Pork Chops

One pound of pork chops, or around four chops that are each one inch thick. For this dish, both bone-in and boneless pork chops work. Both types of meat are tasty, although bone-in meat is frequently a little bit juicier than boneless meat.

1 cup Shake & Bake Pork: The seasoned Panko used to coat the pork is from the Shake and Bake brand. It is available in stores, or you may create your own using my straightforward recipe.

Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is used in this recipe to give it more flavor. 1 tbsp

Ingredient note

Unable to locate pork chops To find a Pork Loin Round, look! You may make your own if your local grocery shop does not have boneless pork loin chops.

A 1- to 2-pound boneless pork loin should be available in the grocery store’s butcher department. These are often shaped like an oval.

Start at one end of the pork loin, approximately 1 inch from the end, on a cutting board. Slice it as a loaf of bread would be.

Additionally, your butcher will gladly chop this for you!

Step – by – step instructions

It just takes 12 to 15 minutes to prepare these pork chops. Compare the cooking times of your side dishes to make sure you can eat them right out of the air fryer.

Preheat. While you prepare the pork chops, preheat your air fryer to 400°F (205°C).

Cook pork chops. One pound of pork chops should be rinsed and dried (approximately 4 pork chops). The chops should be lightly coated with olive oil on both sides. *I prefer to use a basting brush to coat the pork chops after measuring and pouring the tablespoon of oil into a small dish. If you don’t have a basting brush, you may just pour some oil over the pork chops and distribute it using the back of a spoon.

Garnish pork chops. Place each pork chop into a plastic bag, add 1 cup or 1 packet of Shake N Bake mix, close the bag with a twist, and shake to coat.

Air fry Cook seasoned pork chops in the air fryer for 12 to 15 minutes at 400°F (205°C). Make careful to flip after 6 to 8 minutes, or around halfway through the cooking process. When pork chops reach 145°F (63°C), they are finished.

Serve. Transfer to a plate or serving tray after removing from the basket. Pork chops should rest for five minutes before being served. They may do this by gently covering it with a square of aluminum foil.

To make this a complete dinner, pick your favorite side dish and veggie. It’s a terrific idea to serve the pork chops with mashed potatoes and gravy as well!

Make a batch of my Jiffy corn casserole to serve as a side dish if you want a meal with a Southern theme that is really simple to prepare, complete with dessert. After that, prepare my simple pineapple upside-down cake as dessert.

Both are quite simple, and the tastes go well with the pork chops. Enjoy!

Tips and recipe notes

Instead of air frying, bake. For conventional oven cooked procedures, see my own shake and bake pork chops.

Do not attempt to simultaneously shake many pork chops. For an equal coating, make sure you shake and turn each pork chop in the shake and bake bag individually. Simply grab a plastic container with a lid if you are without a plastic bag. One pork chop should be added to the Shake and Bake before the lid is on and the container is shaken.

Apply oil from a spritz bottle or spray to the air fryer basket. Your air fryer basket’s non-stick coating is damaged by aerosol-based non-stick sprays. Simply apply oil using a pastry brush or a paper towel if you don’t have a spritz bottle or mister.

Storing and reheating Air Fryer Shake and Bake Pork Chops

Because the breading might become brittle when heated, freshly prepared breaded pork chops are preferred. However, it doesn’t mean you can’t reheat them! They’ll still taste fantastic and be excellent choices for a weeknight supper or fast lunch.

If stored in an airtight container or divided into tiny portions for lunches, pork chops can be frozen. For up to three or four days, the pork chops can be stored in the refrigerator.

Reheat these pork chops in the air fryer if you’re dining in. The best way to achieve crisp results is with this simple yet effective technique. Simply reheat them in the air fryer at 375°F to preserve their delicious crunch!

You may reheat them in the microwave if you are not home. Although they won’t have the same crunch as when you first cooked them, they’ll still be delicious!
