No matter if we’re snacking on them while enjoying a wonderful Chinese meal or while watching a game. Along with other snacks that are simple to eat, I also make them for gatherings as cocktail appetizers.

It doesn’t matter if we’re munching on them as we watch the game or if they’re the appetizer to a delicious Chinese meal. Additionally, I make them for gatherings as cocktail appetizers with other delectable treats.

Spend a moment simply admiring your air fryer’s awesomeness. You’ll see how adaptable they are and how well they can prepare any type of food without the need of oil. Nothing is ever greasy, and the calories are kept to a minimum! Winning!

Can You Air Fry Spring Rolls?

Absolutely! The best aspect of spring rolls is that they work so well in an air fryer.

The thin, fragile spring roll wrapper can be challenging to cook with. However, when you air fried spring rolls, they always turn out perfectly.

In addition, frying spring rolls in the air fryer uses far fewer calories than frying them in deep oil.

What will you need?

This recipe just requires one step. Only the frozen spring rolls are required, not an air fryer! 2 is often a fair number per person, but if you want more, just buy extras.

You may purchase or prepare a dipping sauce as well. I like my sweet and sour sauce, Thai sweet chili sauce, hot Chinese mustard, or duck sauce on my spring rolls. They are very delicious when dipped in soy sauce.

How to air fry frozen spring rolls?

The air fryer is simple to operate! But for this particular recipe, I strongly advise preheating your air fryer. Most of the time, this is just a matter of preference, but when I take the extra time, my spring rolls come out crispier!

For around 5 minutes, preheat your air fryer to 390°F (199°C).

Place the frozen spring rolls in a single layer, separated apart so they don’t touch, in the air fryer basket or on the trays.

The spring rolls are air-fried for 4 minutes at 390oF (199oC). Turn them over and continue to air fry for 4 more minutes. Cook the spring rolls for an additional 2 minutes if you prefer them extra crispy (as I do!).

Take the spring rolls out of the air fryer and serve them hot with your preferred dipping sauce. Such a treat!

Tips for Using an Air Fryer

Keep in mind that your air fryer model may have a different cooking time than mine, so use my directions as a reference but always keep a check on your food. Additionally, although this specific recipe doesn’t call for any additional oil, you should never use an aerosolized cooking spray on your air fryer. As specified in your specific recipe, apply the oil using a paper towel or a pastry brush.

How Long Do You Air Fry Spring Rolls?

They cook in JUST 7 minutes in the air fryer since frozen spring rolls are significantly smaller than egg rolls and other frozen dishes.

That is AMAZING given that you could cook 20 of them at once if you wanted, and you could do it without using your hands as the temperature doesn’t need to be changed.

What Temperature To Cook Frozen Spring Rolls?

I advise using spring roll air fryers set at 180°C/360°F. Additionally, I’ve discovered that frozen spring rolls cook in the air fryer the best due to their small size and delicate wrapping.

Storing cooked spring rolls

There won’t often be any leftover spring rolls, but if there are, cover them in foil or plastic wrap. The wrapped spring rolls may be kept in the fridge for up to two or three days if they are placed in an airtight container.

Reheating fried spring rolls

The easiest way to reheat spring rolls while preserving their crispiness is to put them back in the air fryer. Use the same heating elements as in the recipe card below, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes, or until well warmed.

The second-best technique is to heat a skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat with a thin layer of oil. With space between each roll, arrange the spring rolls in a single layer in the hot pan. Heat and rotate as necessary until well warmed.

Additionally, you may reheat prepared spring rolls in your oven for around 10 minutes at 350°F (175°C). Alternately, you may microwave for brief intervals of 30 seconds, however doing so will cause the wrapper’s “crispness” to disappear.

How do I cook frozen spring rolls without an air fryer?

You can either bake them in the oven or preheat a stovetop or conventional fryer to fry them in oil.

Bake them for 20 minutes at 400°F (200°C), flipping them over halfway through.

If you choose to cook them on the stovetop, pour half an inch of oil into a frying pan and cook for three minutes on each side, or until golden.

Should you thaw spring rolls before frying?

No, frying frozen spring rolls right out of the freezer produces the greatest results.

Why are my spring rolls not cooked through?

There may be a number of causes for your spring rolls’ incomplete cooking:

– There was no preheating of the air fryer.

– The air fryer basket was crammed with food.

You have bigger spring rolls.

– The spring rolls weren’t turned halfway.

– Because each air fryer is unique, cook times may change.
